Opera – Drabble

So far the Tender Land has been very interesting. There’s been a lot of drama, and definitely people should’ve learnt their parts better than they have. The orchestra and the leads have been having trouble making ends meet. As our music director has mentioned, it is an all student production, but still I don’t think that’s an excuse for things being so rough. I’m on the vocal side of things this time, though, and in a relatively minor role. So there isn’t much that I’m able to do to help out. Normally as a piano player I’d have more power.

A Drabble

This is a drabble. Don’t know what a drabble is? You aren’t alone. A drabble is a short piece of writing that is one hundred words long. I’m going to start tying to write them more often. I’m not sure exactly what upon, just yet, but I shall be writing them. They are typically stories, but this one is not. This one definitely falls under the category of a definition, and explanation, but not really a story. There is no plot, no context, no point, just an easy exercise in writing. Hopefully the future ones will be better than this.
